G  320033
C  030010
D7  000212
Am   002210
D   000232

I play this with a base string/pull last 3 strings rythem.  Then change it to kind of a
four count base string/pull for the instrumental and the D gets done once followed by 3 notes.  First add pinky to the 6th string of the and play that, then remove it for the next note so you have the D chord again, then pick the 2nd string (3rd fret).
When Tom does this song, it’s heavily brass/percussion, so you have to carry this with your voice and make it your own.  Lots of fun.

that David played and it pleased the Lord

her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
         C                      Am
she tied you to her kitchen chair
        C                                        Am
she broke your throne and she cut your hair
