STUBBORN LOVE, LUMINEERS

STUBBORN LOVE
LUMINEERS SELF TITLED ALBUM

So yeah, I know, this one isn't so old.  But I do LOVE playing it. This band deserves to make it SO big.  Their songs are lively and fun and totally engaging.  Check them out.  You won't be sorry you did.   This song is easy on your voice, and if you teach the chorus, makes a great sing-along song if you preface by counting to 4 before you start the chorus.
Here is the link to watch them perform it.  Mesmerizing:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enOVkxd_n7c&list=ALYL4kY05133oyUDN_QofLhOg4q-wkFqZ3

C (1&2&) Em (1&2&) C (1&2&)  G (1&2&3&4&)
 C (1&2&) Em (1&2&)  D (1&2&)  G  (1&2&)

VERSE 1:
            C                       Em
She'll lie and steal and cheat

          C                        G
And beg you from her knees;

C                               Em     D       G
Make you think she means it this time.

            C                  Em
She'll tear a hole in you,

        C                   G
The one you can't repair,

      C                            Em      D       G
But I still love her….. I don't really care.

CHORUS:
C                         G      Em   D               C
When we were young, oooh we did enough.

                       G     Em          D               C
When it got cold, oooooooo we bundled up.

                   G     Em        D                G
I can't be told, aaaaaaaah it can't be done.

VERSE 2:
      C                   EM
It's better to feel pain
          C              G
Than nothing at all;
         C                Em        D       G
The opposite of love's indifference.
        C                 Em
So pay attention now,
          C                      Em     D            G
I'm standing on your porch screamin' out,
        C                    Em          D               G
And I won't leave until you come downstairs.

CHORUS:

             C    G             D  Em
So keep your head up, keep your love.       (2x)

VERSE 3:
C                            Em
I don't blame you dear,
       C                          Em D            G
For Running like you did all these years,
C                       Em           D          G
I would do the same you best believe.
               C                     Em             G
And the highway signs ( say we're close,)
      C                          Em      D     G
But I don't read those things anymore;
    C                  Em  D    G
I never trusted my own eyes.

CHORUS

C    G             D  Em
So keep your head up, keep your love.
C     G             D   Em
Head up,  My love.
C       G     D   Em
Head up, Love
